Should I replace struts or get coilovers?
I know I need to do either one soon(wallet very thin at the moment). I have a large gap separating the top plate from the mount and I hear a loud clunk when the suspension flexes entering and exiting driveways. My question is, would it be cheaper to get new strut assemblies or coil-overs? I will more than likely be doing the work myself. The car has a little over 174K on it. I don't have a complete history of the car, just the receipts in the glove box.
