Default Utility trailer and camper recommendations

I'm looking for recommendations on utility trailers that are attractive, are light weight and handle well behind a NB, and also specific recommendations for camper trailers (prefer teardrop or enclosed rather than popup). The car is a 2.0 with an automatic. The minimum tow capacity of 1000 pounds is somewhat worrisome, so thought it best to ask the NB forums for good recommendations

The ideal utility trailer would be something unique, compatible with NB styling, cute, possibly convertible from open top to closed top.

The camper - I'm open

Budget - under $2000 if possible, new or used.
Refurbishment/restoration fine.

Anyone know of a converted OLD air cooled beetle front end made into a trailer?
Please post pictures and/or links

Thank you!

You can pretty much pull any 4x6 small utility trailer behind a bug, as for a camper tear drop would be ideal, unless you can fins something light weight, I have a 67 apache tent camper i pulled behind mine. Im going to assume you have the standard 4 sp auto ? keep in mind that a trailer will put more strain on it and will require more maintance upkeep . If you are familiar with thesamba, you can search on there for trailers that were made out of bugs/ even buses. I myself have a 58 beetle front clip that i want to turn into a trailer to pull behind my Westfalia or rabbit .

Good luck

Default Utility Trailers

I wish that I could give you more specific advice on utility trailers but I cannot. I am actually interested in some of the same information that you are and so I hope to gain something by reading this post.
