Question Interior handle and shift knob mods ... Install?

We have a new set of chrome interior door handle covers. How do the existing covers which appear to be plastic remove?

Also, we have a chrome shift knob to install and it's not clear how to remove the existing knob. When pulling up the shifter skirt cover, there is an industrial zip tie inside. Does that need to be clipped in order to change the knob.

Thanks in advance for the tips.

Or does anyone want to come over and help....... Lots of cold Carlsberg in the garage.

Are we talking the handle to pull the door closed or the silver one with the lock and mirror controls? The door handle covers just pop out. Use a flat blade under it. The one to open the door is more involved.

The clip for the shifter knob should be more like a metal one timer clamp. Just pop that off and reuse it or use a zip tie.
