First of all, the Votex bumper and the Turbo S bumper are absolutely NOT the same part!!! They are very SIMILAR, but the lower grilles on the Votex are more rounded. Secondly, the smaller round lights next to the headlights are blinkers only and not driving lights. The oval lights on the sides are the only driving lights. Then you have the fog lights below. The headlights themselves have to be changed to the Turbo S headlights or you may end up with a gap below where the seal is. I had my Cabriolet converted at my dealership in 2005 with all the correct parts in and wiring harnesses so that the lights work just as they should on a Turbo S. Hope that clears things!
Yes, thank you for the information on the Votex v. TS bumpers. Now I need to go digging for some pics of known Votex so I can compare them side by side. Does anyone have side by side comparative pics? With this information we don't know if the Oper's Son has a Votex or a TS.

So, as to the various lights. The corners are only markers, I had read they were different fitment for the TS but didn't know why, now I do. The inboard clears are turn only, and the only turns. 04NBT had apprised us of both those facts, so I was already clear on them. I guesiing you don't know if the factory TS bumper corners and turns fit the Votex bumper.

Now, your indicating the headlight fitment is different? I believe you, but this is the first I've read of that. Are the TS ones the Euro City Lights? Or factory HIDs? What came with the TS option? I would have thought the upgraded HIDs. What is different about the TS headlights that would have lead VW to use a different shape housing? I have a pair of VW OEM Euro City Lights with manual electric range adjusters, are these what are used in the TS? Now I'm concerned, how am I going to figure out if they are for the TS or the standard bumper (they are in the original boxes and I have the p/n's). The Seller had used them briefly in his standard bumper before selling the car, and claimed that was the fitment.

And I'm going to have a look at your photos.

$hit, I'm not confused, just still so many unanswered questions...

Thanks again for your input.

Holding it up next to the front it is dam close in size, and spot on in shape.

I have been digging with no luck, but I know I read it here on the org.....now if I had only tagged that post, like Roger would have done, I wouldn't have spent all this time searching back post's trying to find the answer to something I'm not sure of...........thats all I got.....
I never doubted you were properly quoting what you had read from Mutato. I just have my doubts because of the difference in the angle of the application, seems the front lens of the TS turns would be much more sloped to the body of the housing, so the reflectors were aimed forward instead of upwards. I respect your thoughts and input, and don't mean to ever get in a pi$$ing match with your or most anyone else around here. And yes, I like to save and file links so that I can find them for future reference (and so easy to do with the advent of the computer - I used to have to copy things and keep paper files). Digging through hundreds of threads and posts is a bitch. I forget very little I read, but it ticks me off when after doing so, weeks or months later, I can't find where I read it to confirm it.

We've gotten a little off topic here, apologies Jim, for the thread jacking, but we are all learning things.

Just post a pic of your son's bumper. I can tell right away. The Turbo
S came with city lights and not HIDs. They are supposedly slightly deeper on the bottom.

EVZBUG,,
Can you PM me, and I will e-mail you the photos of the front end on my son's Beetle, It appears to be a ECS Votex kit
he needs the driver side turn light two tone and the passenger side head light cover came off and I'am not sure if you can just replace the cover or the entire headlight assy
not sure if it uses the Turbo headlights or standard ones?
have photos to send you

Thank you
jim

I have a pair of the Votex turn signals I'd sell.
