Make sure they will do the back window in 1 piece. That price sounds good - I was charged $230 6 years ago.

Price depends on the quality of material they are applying. We have 3M Crystalline on both of our cars. Cost was around $350. Have you decided how dark you are going?

EVEN if you get them installed properly the heating strips create little bumps in the window tint
and it makes cars lights behind you reflect in all the bumps in the tint. Makes it looks like just lines of light & it's a little difficult to see when people are really close behind you.

That's my biggest annoyance about tint on Beetle's

When I had my tint done, everyone wanted an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money because I guess the fact that the beetle has oddly shaped windows makes it difficult? I finally found an excellent guy that did it for $200, lifetime warranty and whatnot.

I went all out, 5% tint though. I love it. Oklahoma has brutally hot summers, and it's made such a difference. Unsafe, well, depends. It makes me a more careful driver so I don't think so. Illegal? Yeah. But I've never had any problems with it. Most cops here won't say anything about it, unless you're completely disrespectful or something. The only person that ever points it out is my police officer father

Mine's the yellow one. People can't see me pick my nose or change in my car

lol my friend's bug had 15% and I was like, uh, yeah that's definitely not dark enough. I think yellow and black beetles look better with super dark tint anyway.

I do have to roll the windows down to turn at night sometimes, but I don't mind. It's worth it in the summer. And it's worth it to be able to stare at the person in the car next to me and they can't see how creepy I am

so my brother wouldnt let me get a tint at the $250 shop... instead, he said he knew a friend who works at a shop and would do it for $140 w/ lifetime warranty
so i went and they did 20% on back and 35% on passenger sides. they did the back in 1 piece
really wanted to do 20% all around though ㅠㅠ

but the weird thing is, the guy that did my tint only tinted to the dotted line on the beetle... is this normal? he said it was because something about the weather or something along those lines...

anyways ill post up pics later

Some places go over the dots and some go up to the dots. It is really difficult to get the tint to stay on those. I've seen it done both ways on other types of cars too so nothing special with the nB. Can't wait to see how it looks.
