Default German New Beetle Wheels?

Hi,

Anyone know what wheels are on the dark blue NB on the german VW site? They look like exactly what I want for my ride.

Deutsche NB Page

Thanks,

Not sure of the name but they're the optional 17"s on the 2006+ NBC. I think "Octupus" is the name for the style of 17"s on the coupe, though.

Thanks for the help. I still can't seem to find them. What I want are wheels that look much like the old Cragar SS wheels that I used to see on just about every 70's hotrod years ago. For some reason, it seems appropriate for my beetle to look like a Hotwheels car :-)

Any suggestions?

Thanks again,
-JamesW-

Try TMTuning.com which is I think in England, and they can get a hold of Euro VW parts, although you'll probably have to pay an arm and a leg for customs and shipping...

Ah-ha! I looked at the PDF brochure on the german site - The wheels pictured are the "Dallas" wheels. Don't think they're available in the US though. I can't imagine how much they would cost to ship from overseas...

I'm still balking at $175ea for those extra-sweet wheels that Gilligan posted (Thanks!), but perhaps it will happen since I'll be selling one of my CD players and have some overtime to do at work

Cheers,
-JamesW-

Check out Ronal wheels.

I think the R-7's, about half way down the page look
like the wheels on the blue german beetle.
Ronal has a special on wheels.

They have a special on the r-38's too.
March only.
138 for 17's
and
199 for 18's

Those ronals are nice! Well, it's good to know that there are several options available to get the look I want. Thanks!

My advice is to bide your time... know what you want and someone will eventually be selling a set cheap. Also, buy from forums like this if possible and you'll get a better deal than E-bay usually.

I can't really see the wheels good, but if they are 17x7, with 5 thin pie shaped spokes they are Sarasota wheels, part number ALY69817, used 05 to 08, and on every 08 triple white coupe or convertiable.
