i love my dad

OK i have wanted to cover up the ugly black marks that have appered fom the metalic coming off the stering wheel spokes

and i have expressed this with my parents

finaly my dad said he knew a guy at work that dose vinal jobs and he said he could get me some free scrap vinyl in the color matching my paint

i am so excited, i am a un imployed high schooler and i dont get to do a lot of mods to my beetle so what ever mods i do do i am extatic especially if they are free. well thanks for readin i will post some pics of it when i finish

i know what you mean...i am in a similar situation (except i'm in college now) my dad is very strict with what i do to my car, so don't think you're the only one!

let's just take care of them and appreciate what we've got!

Hey, that sounds great! I did this with my '99 techno blue... there's actually a guy who has a pattern that he's made specially for Beetles, using vinyl as well. He sent me several sets of blue ones so I could pick the ones that matched the best, and I just mailed the others back to him. It cost me $12, and was worth every bit of it, but *free* is even better!!! Good Luck!
