Default Question about Speedo Cluster

Is it possible to take the speedo apart and swap out the face from a 2006 with an older beetle? I don't know how the speedo are made but I love the 06 version very classy

Yes and no. Each year's cluster is programmed for that year's airbag etc. so u'll get cel's. I guess it's possible to re-program the new cluster but u'd have to have the codes for the old airbag etc. (i.e it's probably not worth it).

I'm not trying to swap the cluster that would be a pain, I'm saying take off the face and swap faces. like the aftermarket ones.
