Possible to make CC NBC?

Ok...in my searches for a NBC, I thought I was set on Harvest Moon....but, I keep seeing photos for orange Color Concept beetles and love how they look (btw...I LOVE ORANGE!!!) and that got me to thinking about making a Color Concept New Beetle Convertible.

I tried doing a search and found people that put the seats from a CC into a non CC car, but wonder if there's ever been someone that's attempted a full CC NBC - from the Rims, to the interior trim and seats....I'd want it to look like the hardtop, just be a convertible.

Then part of me wonders if that's just too much orange...but it does look sweet on the hardtop.

So where would i have problems? ...I'm guessing the back seats and the back interior panels.

Anyone know if it's do-able?

I don't see why you couldn't make your own if you had all the right parts. Why not?

I love the Orange CC NB. Orange was the color of my first super beetle in college. I think the CC on the NBC would be awsome! It would probably take some time since it would be a DIY job but if the parts were all available to you, you could totally go for it! Please promise to post photos if you decide to do this!!!

Definately sounds cool. I love the look of any of the CC beetles. I really wish I could get one. If you succeed, definately share with us. I'd love to know if it can be done and try it myself on my next Bug

It's possible, but the orange leather from the CC NB is going to be ALOT brighter than the car. The orange on the NBC's is a darker shade. It's still cool though.

you wouldn't be able to put the hardtops rear seat in the convertible because they are different sizes and the head rests are different...but you might be able to get the inserts re-apolstered! this is a cool idea!

i could always just do the front seats and then spend the money that was going to go to the back seats and do TurboS bumpers to go with the CC rims.

ONe Problem . You have to get 04 and Newer seats for the weight sensor in the passenger side seat . THe NBC's have a sensor in the seat , if no one is sitting in it , the Airbag on the passenger side is not armed, nor does the seatbelt chime either , however place a person ( OR a heavy box) in the seat, the seatbelt light will be on and chime until the seatbelt is hooked, and the passenger side airbag will be active . I Have an NBC and Really really really want to make her a URCCNBC UniRedConCeptcolor NBC . I personaly think a CC NBC would ROCK !!! GOod luck and DOOOOOO IT!!
