Default mirrored tints... ?

Okay...I'm thinking about getting mirrored tints on my reflex silver beetle, what do ya'll think ? Do you know or have you seen someone with mirrored tints on a silver beetle... I would love to hear your thoughts or see a picture. I am torn between the mirrored and black.

In my opinion mirrored looks cheap. That said, I'd go with black

Btw, it's tint not tints.

Not only that, but I hear it's illegal in a lot of places. Go dark!

Yea after thinking about it, i think black as black would be the best way to go darling.

Go 15% up front and 5% in the back..thats what i wish i did with my car!

yes it's tint, not tints, and i've been told that if you do mirrored on the bug it gets a lot of wrinkles in it because they have to heat shrink it so much. I have limo on the bug and 12% or 15% (i forgot which) on my 350z. the limo on the bug is way too dark at night, it makes it hard to see, go with 12 or 15%, it's still plenty dark.

whether its tint or tints is rather irrelevant ...i cant believe people are actually wasting time to point it out...
hmmm.

Anyway i think 15% is great for the front windows, but the back windows could be a little darker. At least 5% on the back to windows and 15% on the hatchback and the front two windows would be good. Its just nice to have it really dark at night and still dark during a sunny day.

Nice as in harder to change lanes, or nice as in harder to make left turns?

Esophina,

I would strongly encourage you to go with the black vice mirrored tint for your car. I too have a silver NB and recently got my windows tinted. I went with a 35% (legal) tint on all five windows and it looks really good against the Reflex Silver paint scheme.

Just my $.02

Thank you Whitacre! I <3 <3 <3 you! I really do want tint on my car, but I don't want to get an illegal percentage. I'm not looking to get any more tickets than I need to

Getting an illegal amount doesnt mean you are going to get a ticket. If you get pulled over and they cant pin anything on you, they may pull out the lightgun but this is not California, this is Washington. The cops dont care especially on newer cars. If yours was a 1994 Honda Civic Si with a muffler the size of your head than maybe they will notice something and bug you...no pun intended. I havent had any problems, and anyone who lets legislation decide what they can do with their cars window tint shouldnt even bother.

And if you drive safe as it is, its not harder to see out at night when you can clearly see headlights, or the road. If you cant see that, then i suggest you get your eyes checked "dragonplayboy". I wear pretty thick glasses, and i can see just fine out of my 15% tint.

Oh and one other thing. You have seen my silver bug with dark windows...it looks really really good. I suggest going dark windows on your silver bug instead of mirror.
