Question my new TDI badge

I finnaly got a TDI badge for my NB. I want to put it on today. I know I need to remove all of the wax, but I don't know what to use. I don't want to damage the paint, as I know I'll probably remove the wax in an area bigger than the badge.

Any thoughts?

Use Goof-Off, alcohol and water 50/50 or Goo-Gone and wax it right after and you will be ok, Also to line it up nice and square tape a wood ruler small piece of plastic as a guide and kind of tilt it into place from the bottom edge. t will be nice and square .....look at the line up from a distance before sticking it on as things can look level from up close and when you step back it can be crooked and too late.

Or alternatively, just use a degreaser like Grease Lightning. Or just dish soap should be fine. When i put a bad on i used plain old Windex and had no problems.

Default removing badges?

I placed my TDI badge on my 05, but want to remove it as I placed it 1/16th in. off center, in addition to it's rising 1/32 in between the letters T and I. When at university, I worked as a framed pic hanger. I could eye any wall, center and level a pic, and hang with ease. Though it's been a decade or so, I trusted my skills in placing a simple badge.....and I was off on both the horizontal and vertical balance. I have attached pics here. Do these appear as off to you as they do to me? Any advice as to removing these safely and realigning? Should I use a new badge, or will I be able to re-apply this badge? Advice please..........

Mine was off too. It looks fine now and no one can really tell, and i cant tell about yours. Im thinking its just because we are a little more anal on how things look on our car. Im probably going by someone too fast to read the TDi let alone see that it might be crooked by 1/32...
