Default Sticky Topics?

Can some "sticky" topics be added for questions that are asked all the time? For instance, in the technical support forum A/C questions seem to come about quite often and it is usually the same "my clutch does not engage" or "fan only blows hot air". Users usually always chime right in, but a dedicated thread with all the "good" stuff to check like fuses, fans, voltages, etc., can really help out. Am I really off course?

It's a fine idea. The problem usually isn't sticking the thread, it's getting the thread made in the first place. It's a lot of work, but if someone wants to make the thread I'll be happy to "stick it".

I know that there are many people who spend a substantial amount of time helping others by posting very detailed write-ups. My original idea for "sticky" topics would not necessarily be compiled by a single person, but rather a thread that people can contribute some information to. It would just help prevent searches that run pages deep into both the new and old forums. I assumed that if the threads are created and "stuck" at the top, people would fill them up. MODS would be able to delete posts that do not belong. I by no means expected a single person to compile and post all the data. I myself am limited on time, but would be willing to do my small part in helping the .org go round. If everyone does a small part to contribute to a thread, I think a wealth of information would be easily found without burdening a single person with all the work.

I was thinking of threads like:

The main chip manufactures (APR, GIAC, REVO etc.)

Good locations to buy accessories (gauges, body kits, etc.)

Timing belt information (when to change and how to check it)

These are just some of the questions that I tend to see many times over.

Thanks for listening…or reading rather…
