Default Is it just me, or is the board really s l o w ?

Over the last week or so I've noticed the board is really slow. Other sites rip right into my PC, but this is my favorite site, and waiting at each mouse click is frustrasting...

Instant gratification is not fast enough!

<jedi mind trick> This is not the slow org you are looking at, the org is fast and responsive, sensing your clicks before you send them </jedi Mind Trick>

Have you seen a 3 legged turtle? I did, it was rather fast.

No slower then a 4 legged turtle.

Moving along..

Yes. As slow as molasses in January. As slow as Christmas. As slow as Grandpa coming to dinner. You get the idea.

Is the board a victim of its own success? Time for an upgrade?

And definatly not the last.

yes the .org is suffering from some slowness, but the hosting is paid for out of pocket by the founder of the newbeetle.org.

Without an increase in donations, there really isnt anything we can do about it.

Right now we average about 2 new donations a month, which does NOT cover our hosting costs, so an upgrade to a better hosting package... isnt in the picture right now.

OK, folks, if you're reading this because you're bugged by the slowness, you know what to do.

If you don't see that purple (MS) thing by your name, you're not helping pay for a faster server, so you're slowing the rest of us down.

Search your conscience and your pockets.

Default OK, I bellied up and now have a clear conscience

It took about five minutes to figure out how to donate, but tenacity won out! Hey, it seems a bit faster already

Suggest a donate now link somewhere in the Forums masthead, instead of having to back out to the Home Page to find it.
