Cool Dash plaques available for Member Sponsors?

How about we design a "dash plaque" to be available for purchase by member sponsors?

for example:

Cool

The thought behind this is that we could design and produce a different graphic each year with the year number printed somewhere. Its purchase would be completely voluntary. It could be a conversation point with passengers and, if sold to a private party buyer, may recruit new members. They're pretty cool looking and it certainly could be useful for generating additional funds for the Org without jeopardizing access to forums for lurkers , which we all were at some point, and is a primary mission for Jeff...

You can also custom make license plate frames here: http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sel...?prodtypeno=52

With the possibility of adding more products without any inventory...

Back in my Mini Truck/Car Club days we used to get dash plaques everytime we attended Truck Runs/River Runs(aka Get Togethers) and some car shows.

Here's some of the ones I got back then.

The perfect plaque would be:

Small like the original RSI number plaque. have the 3 arch NB logo
www.newbeetle.org etched and the Nb year and name of the car...

COUNT ME IN !!!

They're usually composed of plastic or aluminum and are affixxed by a peel-off backed adhesive. They are inexpensive to produce but are unique in graphic appearance. Generally displayed on the passenger side, usually near the "glove" box (I'm gonna go out this morning and put in a pair of gloves just for conversation sake) or other eye-catching location, they can be a source of casual conversation but are also a point of marked pride and can denote attendance to a certain event or membership to an organization. You can see hundreds of varieties of these proudly displayed by car enthusiasts at car shows in your area.

I've had several affixxed to the dash of my '59 MGA when I ran rallyes that were sponsored by the Santa Monica Sports Car Club back in the day (I was a driver, not a navigator). Those with many dash plaques were seen as very experienced and were considered the ones to beat...

They're for fun
Sometimes shows or events give them out, they're kinda like collectibles.

Do we commission Gilligan (Mr. Photochop) to create a mock up for this project or one of the graphic illustrators meandering around these here parts?...
