No Guests can read forum

I have been posting links on other forums for the members their to maybe find something of interest here. Most of them are Squares, GTI and Jetta owners, but some of the for sale items may interest them ... since they are Squares, they don't want to sign up just to view the forum, when did this take place, I do recall a time when guests could read but not post here, why do we not have that anymore?

Right - we had to enable that because of our bandwidth...I believe, I'll look and see if I can find the thread were this was all discussed...

Couldn't find it, but it basically had to do with the amount of connections we were having and how that slowed down the Org to the point that it kept timing out on everyone.
We closed the old org to viewing and eventually had to close the new org as well to guest viewing and that gave us .enough connections to allow normal viewing for members.

So until we can afford to move the org to another host or pay for more connections/bandwidth - this is how the org has to be accessed.


I'm sure I might be wrong on some of the technical aspects, but that is how I remembered it..

Holy crap, we out-sized another server!?! I thought that was part of what the move was about?
