Bad Image in homepage rotation

But it is an NBC, and since it's only the top that is different, do we really need to see the rest of the car?

Kinda emphasizes the openness of a convertible... Wonder if the picture's really mis-sized.

When I submitted the pic, It was, well, denied.

So, it is a surprise to me that it is there. I had a hell of a time trying to resize the pictures to that hard-to-get size, and every one I submitted was rejected.

Therefore, it's not my fault it's there. So there!

If I send some pics to a pic wizard, can someone fix my issues?

oh, I always thought that picture was suppose to be like that... to show the openess.

IF anything, we are picking on the wrong photo here, there are other ones in the mix that really dont meet the requirements (as far as I read it).

I believe the hompage submission page said a photo should have the main focus of a NB and also be a GOOD picture... there are a couple that are just "driveway" shots, and even thought the beetle is beautiful, I dont think it fulfills the other part of it... the subject mater/good picture (the background is blah, when it should be something of interest)

I just thought this one was an artsy photo to show the openness of the NBC... but Ive seen the original of dyneds and if someone would rezsize it, that would be cool. But I think it looks fine the way it is as well.

Here are the requirements that I read when I submitted my photo:

Photo submission guidelines

NewBeetle.org staff determine which photos appear in the homepage rotation. Not all submitted photos will be accepted. For the homepage, we are looking for great photos, not great cars. We don't care if you bug is stock to the bone or tricked to the nines. We just want inpactful, wow-inducing photos of New Beetles. Please bear that in mind.

In order to be approved, all submitted photos must:

Be exactly 550 pixels wide by 250 pixels tall.
Have a New Beetle as the primary subject(s) of the photo.
Be devoid of additional information. Including text, URLs, and other information in your photo will disqualify it.
Be of your car. If you are sending a picture of a group of cars, one of them should be yours. If you are including other NewBeetle.org member's cars in your photo, pelase get their permission to submit the image.
Be a photo that you hold the copyright for, or that you have expressed, written permission to submit from the copyright holder.
Be a high-quality digital file that doesn't include pixelation or excessive compression artifacts.
Be a photograph. Illustrations, Photoshop compositions, and other artwork are not desired for the homepage. We want photographs. Subtle digital enhancement (color correction, etc.) is fine, but please do not submit digitally-concocted works.
Note: The NewBeetle.org stylesheet automatically displays the rounded corners and NewBeetle.org logo on your photo. You do not need, nor should you attempt, to include these elements in your file.

This is what I have trouble with. I simply cannot get my pics that size, without distorting them. I give up. I am sure that the gurus at admin can remove the "bad image on the home page".

This is the original picture, and one of our two, that I tried to resize, and it got distorted.

Well its true, some are just shots of Beetles sitting in a drive way, at least this one had a beautiful beetle and an ocean view, now that its cropped right, it will be even better.
