Default How come I can't post on the "Technical How-To" thread?

I wanted to ask about disabling the DRL's (daytime running lights), but couldn't post a new thread or reply to an existing one.....is this a result of the new owner of the website? Do I need special permission to do so? As it turns out, the first post on it (From Marvins Dad-thanks much!) is all I needed, but I was surprised to find I couldn't post, and was wondering why....is there a rule I need to read somewhere? Do I need to pay $$$ for this kind of stuff?....

i believe those how-to area's are strictly mod area's only.. they'll move threads\things they deem worthy into that area for easy finding. questions and general discussion go in the other similarly labeled forums.

Cool. Thanks HP, I was wondering what the deal was...the info in there is primo stuff, that's probably a good way to make sure it stays that way....the DRL tip is great....I kept reading on all the carfax's that the bulbs needed replaced (they're cheap, but not necessarily easy to replace) (from what I hear/read), I'm thinking that the DRL's are contributing to that....I figure if you need your lights on, turn them on, I don't like them on all the time....thanks again!

yes Grandpa, the how-to's are locked down so that they do not become cluttered with off topic discussion.

If you, or anyone has a how-to feel free to post it in an appropriate forum, and if it is usefull it will be moved over to the how-to forums.
