What does placeholder mean? I know this is just the Suggestion forum, but I am trying to find a DIY for my Fuel door - someone broke into my fuel door, stole my gas, and now it won't close properly anymore. Normally it clicks and locks when you close the door, now it doesn't. ACK! I figured this "Fuel Door Fix - How-To" post might address how to fix the door...

Try that link James posted.

That link from '05 looks like it was a link to another set of forums that no longer exist. PLACEHOLDER meant that he was meaning to move the thread over eventually; but never got to this particular one. It looks like one of the first posts he ever made on this server after we had a major update.

Basically: That thread never contained anything; you're asking for a thread on a forum that hasn't worked in over 3 yrs. I'm sorry, but we can't retrieve that information just yet. We're still working towards that, but cannot currently do that.

I do not think there is a link to repairing that particular mechanism that the vandal damaged; but the thread James linked should help you get towards the problem. They must have bent the latch, your 'fuel cable actuator' is fine.
