Beetle Art

How about a forum for beetle drawings and art. We all so love our cars, i am sure their are many of us who have tried their hand at drawing them? Of course I have to admit a certain love of drawing. I certainly would love to post some of my drawings.

I havent tried drawing a NB ... but, I have done some things in Illustrator (digital 2D), and I have tried doing a 3D model on the computer as well. :P The 3D didnt turn out that great.... lol

Perhaps an ORG User based advertising forum? Let the ORG users show their own Beetle art and/or commentary regarding what they would consider appropriate advertising.

Who knows someone might even get lucky...

I guess i will start then. I did this a fair few years ago, and and am not so super keen on it anymore. The wheels are a bit weak, and the compostition was poor....hence the tight cropping. For those interested, it is an airbrushing I did back when I was still studying automotive design. There is only a hint of Photoshop (the lens flair and a couple of highlights).

I will try to put some more up soon though. Perhaps some custom Beetle designs too.

I guess they shoudnt be in this thread though?

took a break from drawing trucks today, and doodled a quick sketch of a beetle i would like. Pretty similar to todays, although modified the arches a bit, and used the window line from the cab. but on the hard top.

No chance of a new forum topic? Would give people a place to post their photoshop jobs without making out they were real too. For me, i just love drawing and would just like a place to share my work with fellow beetle fans. You have to understand, i am a car designer by trade....there are not many of us who are in love with the beetle...they all want TTs!!!

(actually i like the TT...just trying to make a point)

You might try the Hobbies/Other Hobbies forum and start a new thread.
Although it's more than a hobby for you.

Try it out in the Other Hobbie forum first.

Start your threads with "Beetle Art:". If we see enough traffic we'll look into creating a subforum for just such a thing.
