Default Official RIP Thread?

Would it be considered poor form to make an "Official RIP Thread" and merge all the recent deaths into that one? I'm all for paying last respects and all, but it's kinda frustrating to see so many RIP threads posted in the last few weeks when I click the "New Posts" button.

I agree, but eh. it's misc hoo ha. let the people eat cake.

respects? I don't think any one's checking a beetle forum for registry entries. Sorry man, it's hoo-ha, and fits the bill.

For me personally, I like having the different threads.

Some of these people we may know very little about. And others, may have really touched us and had an impact on our lives. I think it's nice to be able to discuss that specific person in a thread and share thoughts / stories.

Really, when it comes down to it, people could use that argument about everything, and each forum area could have just one thread.

I vote to keep the threads separate.

You've convinced me, and I retract my statement. I'd delete the thread.... but everyone knows how I feel about that.

yep, besides; why delete it just because you've come to a conclusion? Maybe later on someone will want to use it as a reference?
