I am trying to reply to this thread:
Anyone here run on vegi oil??

But all I get is an error screen that says this:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@newbeetle.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.63 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.9 Server at newbeetle.org Port 80

I have run into this a few other times as well. Any idea what is going on?

I can type a short reply and it will post fine.

I type my long reply with quotes and I still get the error message.

I was able to make it work by splitting up the post.

I got that error the other day as well. I don't remember how long my post was or if I quoted though.

My recent reply in that thread worked fine, it was longer and had multiple quotes.

I'll let you know if it crops up again. Thanks Ron.

I have the problem. I can't quote someone and then reply to that quote, but I can apparently reply here. I get the same 'error' message.

I get a similar error when I try to do a stats search. Probably a DB issue on the webserver. noR, is the .org DB actually backed up on a regular basis wherever the site colocation facility is?

The NewBeetle.org Forums database has encountered a problem.

I think the org is fighting back (IT'S SELF AWARE!!! ). I get that same error when I do a search for New Posts. I posted another thread about it.

I'm also having this issue. I just joined and am trying to post a thread in the 1.8L turbo sub forum but getting a 500 internal server error like DZLBUG did back in December in the OP.

The problem seems to be the length of the message. I cut my post down to a few sentences from a few paragraphs and it posted, but can't edit in the longer post or I encounter the error again. I hope this info helps.

Hey Guy's what is up with this??? I was only attempting to reply to MiG's "Humorous Commercial" post, in the Hoo-Ha forum. I was definitely not trying to edit ANYTHING. Why would my privileges be disabled? Help please.

EDIT: This appears to only be an issue for me in the JOKES category. ????? I think I had this problem awhile back. Could somebody fix this for me please.

EDIT, again...... I may have figured this out on my own.

Yello_jellybean, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
