What is going on here?
Yes, I celebrated prematurely! I have been unable to post for a couple of days and only now am able to because of Al saying he quoted somebody.

I am grateful that I'm able to login, though.

Yup. Al mentioned that to me too and that's the only way I've been able to post lately. So sad. I'm not having login issues anymore...but this sure is kinda annoying. It has limited my time on the .org

Michelle do you remember almost a year ago, we were having issues logging on here. I remember because we were approaching the final days before our first TOD, and many of us couldn't post our last minute posts which was !!

So as we're all crying in our beer (root or adult strength) about this situation, is something being done about this?

Yessir there is.

You may not have noticed the Org changed ownership. Something in the transition caused this. And the new owners have ALOT more experience than the previous. They're working to correct the problem.

I've brought them every error, and problem I've been able to find, and personally, I think they're all related and once the quick reply is fixed, the the login problem will be fixed, the attachment oddity will be fixed, the inability to move posts will be fixed, along with the ability to post answers to polls and such.

I can only apologize for the horrible uptime we've had the past couple years, and hope with new ownership comes new reliability and thoroughness in update testing.

Thanks for the update noR. We will just have to be patient. I think we will all survive this minor inconvenience.

Here is what I did to get around that; I logged in twice from the main page to get in, then I went to "User CP" and bookmarked it. Logged out and now it only takes one login to get in.

D2Beetle,

I got that too once but after I logged in and refreshed, logged out and logged in again, it went away. Do you still see the error messages?

X2 for both of the above...

I also noticed alot more "sponsored ads in the middle of threads". Thats not very awesome in my book....

oh well, I'll just be in stealth mode since i can't usually log in.

its a miracle it worked today. i feel like i should go play the lottery or something, its my lucky day.

I know this doesn't help, but the "sponsored ads . . . " don't appear when I'm logged in but DO in stealth mode (at least on this thread)
and then there's that site/link "beacon.scorecardresearch.com" that just spins and spins the page (as in the page doesn't completely load - big brother?)

Thats interesting...
I don't mind the advertisements above/below/beside the thread.. But totally hate it when they are in the middle of the thread..

I've been having problems just getting the forum page to load lately. Haven't noticed this when I'm at any other sites. Is it just me?
