Default Mobile App for Android?

I saw the announcement posted recently that you had a forum app for i*hone/ipod. Any plans for us Android users?

They should do Tapatalk. Seems to work well on our local forums, and Vortex. Why not here?

Yes, we are finishing up the Android version as well and will let everyone know when it's released.

Well I see that you got the Android version up and running...I'm posting from it now. Everything works real well, but I am a little miffed that it is just a modified version of Tapatalk. So I already paid for the Tapatalk app, and now I had to buy this app. Plus it appears that you have to go down through the entire list of autoguide forums (there's tons of them) to access this forum. Haven't played with it enough yet to see if there is a shortcut.

I guess I just don't get why you couldn't just enable people who already have Tapatalk to access the forums without having to buy another app.

Can we all say "r-e-v-e-n-u-e" or "it's all about the money, honey!"?

Greedy bastards. Tapatalk already allows forum owners to monetize forum traffic through the app. Oh, and I did some messing around, there is no way to go directly to a specific forum. You have to scroll through the list. I tried creating a widget (like I have with Tapatalk for TDIclub) and it doesn't work...even though I am logged in here. They only allow a 15 minute return window, f'ers. Why did I pay good money for this app when I can't access the forums quickly and easily?

Search for the Autoguide.com app in the market. The only reason I knew about it is that I tried accessing the website through my phone browser and it alerted me that the app was available for Android.

I did find Autoguide, but oh well, I don't get apps that I have to pay for.

The app got updated and the widget function now works, so all I have to do is give it one click and can go straight to unread topics or whatever other option I choose.

So kudos to them for fixing that, still a little miffed that I had to pay twice for what is essentially the same app. Oh well.

So is it worth the $4? I see folks complaining about pics loading...does anyone here have that problem. Is it much better experience than just going through the browser?

I use it all the time, haven't had any real issues. Pictures load fine. Going through the browser on the computer is still better ( although the ads are getting worse all the time), but the app is a way better experience than going through the browser on the phone.

It should be less than 4 bucks, and it still ticks me off that it's essentially just Tapatalk, which I already paid for.
