Smile Hey Jeff . . .

Every time I access the Members Map my computer locks up. What's wrong? Is it me or the site? Thanks, Tom

Sounds like your browser is running out of memory. Couple questions:

1. Mac or Windows?
2. How fast is your computer?
3. How much RAM do you have?
4. What browser are you using (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc)?

1. Window XP Home
2. 2 gig processor
3. 1gig ram
4. Internet explorer

At one time I was able to access the map. After one of those server down times three or four months ago is when this started.

You got it fixed. Just accessed the map and it works fine. Thanks for your watchful eye.

I didn't do anything. I'm not sure what was causing it -- 1GB RAM should be enough to handle it without a problem.

Glad it's working now. Hope it doesn't happen again because I have no idea!

Before 'you fixed it' the push pins never came up. Just before I posted that you fixed it the push pins were there in number and I was able to navigate the map. Thanks

That's good to know. For a while I thought it was just me. Even now it takes a long time to load up.

There's no doubt it's a bit slow. Google maps with almost 1000 points are just going to be that way. Really nothing that can be done about that, unless Google decides to speed up their Javascript.

Jeff, I may have jumped gun on complaining. It may be that I was expecting it to load up fast. As it was loading up, I would click on the map then the hang up. If I wait for the pins to appear, all is fine. So it must have been me. Sorry and thanks for being there too.
