wow, some people need to watch more closely to the road. I mean, I know you can get distracted, but did you see how long it took him to stop once he DID hit the rocks?! And he was all smug and "it's cool; whatever" kinda attitude. If it were me....I'd be crying like crazy cause I KNOW my car would be toast! I do hope they get it cleaned up before May. Any idea on the other road closure due to rock slide that some people will have to go around? I forgot where it was. It was mentioned somewhere much earlier in this thread.

As far as breakfast....I'm in. I might be groggy and cranky about it at the time, but I'll get over it once I get food in my system. As far as the Iron Skillet, I have heard that before and have heard good reviews. So, I don't know. I just want some breakfast! lol

According to the article the slide is on US129/64 - 2 miles south of the Chilhowee Dam. Looks like the the area just south of where the Foothills Pkwy and US129 intersect.

Hi Everyone! I haven't been on the org for awhile because I have been ill but it looks like I am going on this trip, after all!

I have missed so much on this thread regarding plans for dinner, breakfast and the like. I don't have internet at home anymore and have to use it at work, now. Is there any way that someone could PM me with the details? I will likely get there Friday afternoon and leave Sunday afternoon. Hopefully there will be a group of people that I can travel with (I live in the St. Louis area and will be coming without my husband. No navigator, yikes!)

OK, I have to get back to work. It's so good to be able to look forward to this trip, now. Can't wait to meet all of you!!!

First of all, sorrow to hear you have been ill. I hope your good health is returning.

The salsa-man seems to have you covered for the information you will need. I think some northerners may be coming down that you can hook up with. Either way, we will help anyway we can to "navigate" you down to the gathering.

Karen, We'll be rolling thru there on our way from Mich. not sure of what time yet but fairly early. I have to be careful in KY as i still have an unpayed speeding ticket from 2 years ago. It's hard to blend in to traffic in but, I won't be in that this time.

Oh and I thought I would start prepping you guys now, get used to seeing this, because your gong to be seeing alot of the back end of her

If it's passed the dam at the end of the TOD, we don't have much to worry about, we hit the dragon like last year, stop for suvie's at the end, turn around go back through the TOD, and head back the way we came or change it a little.

That way we all go TOD two times.!!!!! Will drive them picture takers crazy....J

Here is an updated map of where everyone is coming from. I included org handles on this one. What do y'all think? Too much info? Too cluttered?

I think it is great Mark. Thanks for all the work. Looks like we are going to have quite a group after Little Rock. We are going to have too much fun. I can't wait to see all my old friends and meet a few new ones. Thanks again Mark. Great job!

Agreed Mr Mark

I think all we'll post all pertinent info in frequent fashion from here on out, like Gary did on last years thread. We're almost 2000 posts in and I don't think many will start at post 1 or 100 for that matter. Thanks for what you're doing my good man!

And all I can say about your map is...

well as much as I hate to post this, you can take me and Elizabeth off the list of those attending... Also please cancel any orders you may have from me for any TOD T-shirts, name tags etc and remove me from the map... All hotel reservation have been canceled as well... I've taken a deposit on Lenny and if the sale goes through, and I have no reason to think it will not, I will not be going.. be safe and have fun every one...
