Friday's Twisty Trip Update

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a reminder -- the Friday adventure should depart from the Ridge Top Motel at 1:30 PM. The route will be scenic and leisurely - approx 100 miles/3 hours.

On the attached link we'll begin at Bryson City and run counter-clockwise (ignore the printed directions)
We can shorten the length by making a U-turn at the end of Wayah Rd at Rte 64 (before Franklin) and double back via the same route.

Tthe goal is to return to the Ridge Top with plenty of time to refresh the vehicles and the people.

Thanks for the update, Bob. We are going to try our hardest to get the Texas group into BC by 12:30....1:00 at the latest. Then I figure we should have time for those who still have the energy for it to join the Friday afternoon cruise.

It's likely we may be at dinner when you arrive in Murfreesboro. I'll give a call when we leave for dinner to see where you're at.

Great looking itinerary. Wish Denise & I were joining in on your leg of the adventure

One note, you may wish to edit. The friday afternoon "tour of some twisties" doesn't include Moonshiners 28 (I think). That will be towards the beginning of Saturday's tour loop leading up to the Dragon.

Much, much better, thanks. I used to live in Lubbock. I've been through this song and dance many, many times. It's more of an annoyance than anything else. I'll be good by Wednesday.

Edited. Although raff's map includes the Moonshiner28 as part of Friday, he may double back before getting to the 28.

The time element will probably be the criteria as to whether we double back at the end of Wayah Rd or continue towards Franklin and then north on Rte 28 towards Bryson City.

Hey Randi, this is an old carabug thread. If you'd be so kind and start up another thread.... that would be awesome! Maybe you can get some of the Southwest orgers fired up
