Lightbulb ToD Car Flags

Ok folks, I have an idea. Since we'll be having bugavans across the states, I thought it would be nice to make something to identify the cars a little easier. Yeah I know, our cars are pretty noticeable already but here is my thought. Bare with me. I passed a procession of cars following a Hurst to the grave site. I noticed that every car had a small orange flag, as a way to let you know, "please don't break up our group, we're headed to a funeral". And for some reason it hit me, why don't WE have flags, so that people would know that WE are together, headed somewhere, and if we did get separated, our cars would be easy to find because we would have flags! Now, my initial thought would be for the leader of the bugavan to have the flag, but I won't limit it to just them. Because thinking about it, if we all have a flag, other drivers on the road will know we are together. And just think. If you stop for fuel, night stay, snack, bathroom break, whatever, and another New Beetle owner or anyone for that matter, sees a line of NBs with the same flag, they'll want to know why. What a perfect opportunity to spread the word about the .org and let them know that YES you are traveling from California/Arizona/Washington/Michigan/Maine/WHEREVER to North Carolina to meet with other NB people and tame the Dragon!

I'm not sure what the design is yet or what the cost would be, but I wanted to see if anyone was interested in this to see if I should pursue it further. So, please respond in the pole that'd be great. And I'll try to get more details as soon as I can. You can order as many as you want, the more there are the cheaper they are, of course!! So let me know. What do you think? Good idea? Dumb idea? Any suggestions to make it better? I'm open to criticism.

Where would we attach a flag to? I am all for it if we get a good design.

If we were all driving a bunch of ford tauruses down the road, maybe.. but uhm... yeah, unneccessary.

I've been in an accidental group of 3 beetles and people thought we were together (which we weren't).

bumping just to see if there is any more interest.

I'm still waiting on some quotes for the design idea. I'm sure if I had a solid number folks would be more interested. But you make a good point Tabs, beetles in numbers will be kind of obvious. Then again....maybe not to everyone. lol

Another option is just window chalk like what was done for Roswell. Maybe that would be cheaper and easier. LmK
