If it was what you sampled at the Mellow Mushroom, it was Wild Blue a blueberry lager. Blue Moon is an American take on a Belgian white beer.

It's been working for us nicely. And often, I'll ask for the change back in coinage. That way we sort of bury the bills in the can and aren't so tempted to sneak them back out

I'm really digging the enthusiasm with 10 months still to go. It's these types of posts that will get the unaware or new Org family members excited about attending.

Me too Gary... i'm really enjoying this! There's a great buzz going on here- feels like the maiden voyage all over again. Speaking of... where's all the Maiden Voyagers? Time for me to break out the whoppin' stick again!

I'm laughing as I type this Gary, cause we'll be here in late April, saying "where did the time go", and we'll be running all hurry-scurry trying to do last minute beetle things. TOD has taken a life of it's own.

Yup, all the joking about "is it May yet?" seems like a joke cause it'll be here before we know it. And at this rate, this thread will explode quicker than last years

This is awesome!!!! I love seeing new peeps getting jazzed up about the Dragon! It's such a great GtG!!! And soo inexpensive! CJ glad to see you finally booked a room! Glad to hear it!

This is a GtG that you DON"T want to miss. Trust me. If there was a way we could all just live forever at the Top...or within the vacinity....oh man...wouldn't life be grand!?!?! I have so much fun at the Top every year. There is nothing like it. I love GtG's but this is a must. This is like....Disneyland for Adults! Really it kinda is. lol

Geez, I'm getting myself all jazzed up. I still gotta think about St. Auggie! haha

It actually isn't too early to start the various bugavan threads. That way folks who are travelling to, can hook up with those in which state they're passing thru.

Do you have your room booked yet? I think we're now at 26 of the 36 available rooms. At this pace the Ridge Top could very well be booked in the next few weeks

I coulda swore they told Steve it was already full when they called us the other day. Maybe he just heard them wrong. lol Maybe it was "we're booking up fast, so we wanted to make sure you still wanted your room!" lol

BTW... anyone bringing kids. There may be an extra charge for them. But... it tends to only be $5 a kid. Not bad with the already discounted room. Most people I think are paying around $45 a night. We're paying $65 because it's a bigger room, +2 kids. Compared to big name hotels and such though... it's still a steal.

I think since speaking with Kathy this past Sunday, we're now up to 26 rooms of the 36 available. Still haven't received an e-mail with last names from her so not sure how many of those 26 are Orgers. Though, I'd bet it's all Orgers.

That does however mean, only T-E-N rooms left. Those that want to be "where the action is" (great show from the 60's BTW) need to book fast. We're bringing our 10# hairy kid

Gary,
What time does everyone usually clear out on Sunday? I want to figure out if I should book Sunday too or just make the 12 hour trip home. I will have my then 22 year old stepson with to help with the drive.

This past May we started a Sunday breakfast tradition then folks went their ways. Denise & I typically left before Sunday breakfast and took the slow road home. On the other hand, I know of quite a few folks who are staying 1 or 2 additional days for 2K11. I believe Denise & I will stay one additional day as well and head home Monday morning.

I dropped Shonnel a text letting her know that she needs to book her room now. Hopefully she'll have a room locked in at the top and not miss out.

And it's too awesome that you and Denise will be hanging out on Sunday!

I may have mentioned this before but I'll repeat since the subject is under discussion. Llona and I stayed at the Ridge Top until Tuesday morning this year. Sunday and Monday were the most relaxing days we have had in a long time. We never saw another soul and had the motel totally to ourselves for 2 days. Would like to have a few folks stick around and join us next year.

I'm on the Ridge Top Motel's website right now filling out the contact us form. I will also stay on Sunday and trek home on Monday. I'm crashing the party and haven't even met any of you yet, except for BeetleScott. Can't wait to meet all of you guys. This will be a great time guaranteed!
