ToD 2K11 GTG & cruise

There was quite a few in the field tech/repair stuff going on during ToD.

My experience was Cup's v-belt/serpentine belt breaking as a result of her tensioner seizing about 25 miles out of Lake City. Fortunately for our carabugavan, Lake City had an O'Rielly that had the belt, and Advance about 200 ft across the street that had the tensioner. David/VDubYah, was all gung ho and knocked it out like a champion!

There's other fix it stories, but I'll leave that to those who did the repairs

A GtG isn't a GtG without a repair or two- we've met the requirements

Too bad no one asked...both Jeremy and I work at a Starbucks (different ones though...) We had some Sbux VIA (instant coffee) with us in case we needed it.

...however I'm hoping I wont be working for sbux this time next year.

Aw, sorry to hear you're a little under the weather Randi. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

For me, post-ToD is chill/decompress/reflect mode. Just getting back in the groove of work, while reflecting back on such a great weekend experience. That, and just relaxing; no big agenda or plans... veggin' if you will

And you shouldn't have mentioned that you worked as Sbux- Shonnel will be your friend for life. Oh, and that's not a bad thing either- she's a bit of alright!!!

Another reflection:
Saturday night was awesome at the Top! between the poker & rummy games at the honeycomb hideout, and the gathering at the firepit, it was a great time!

Seeing the bad beer face from Warren, was priceless! But hey, that Nantahala jug is choice!

Off to the kitchen to make my traditional Saturday morning pancake breakfast

Keep active on the ToD threads- don't go into hibernation.

Generate the ToD vibe in your area- tag some beetles and even plan a casual GtG. Sonic always works as well as a Bugs for Breakfast GtG

Remember those who are working on ToD have lives too and we must plan, mod and live life just like you all do. Your active participation makes our jobs a lot easier.

It got me too! Monday morning it started. Lorraine drove home 8 out of the 11hr drive. I am just now getting it out of my system. I think mine was a sinus infection. hope you get to feeling better soon.

Well everyone, I guess it's time for me to make this last post and put this years ToD thread to bed. Tomorrow (or later today) the ToD 2K12 thread will be up

Denise and I want to thank all of you who made the trek far and wide to be part of this great event. There is quite a bit of work that goes on behind the scenes, but all who attend make this event happen. Denise and I driving the Dragon alone does not a GTG make

The 2K11 thread/event just exploded with new attendees the last few months prior. From what I've read, all of you had enjoyed the event enough to join us again next year That is what the organizers like to see. Your enthusiasm infects us and gives us the motivation to pour it back into the ToD. What I ask is that you continue to share your enthusiasm once the 2K12 thread is up and become post whores We need to keep the ToD thread event bumped. Between us all, I think we can accomplish that. What I also ask (if you don't do this already)is to keep an eye on the "New Member scetion". Anyone introducing themselves from your region, please post a hearty hello and include a link to the curent ToD thread and the current bugavan thread if there is one. I also generally post a link to the previous years ToD photo thread. Pictures are worth a thousand words

Again, I thank everyone. In this economy it's hard to commit. Us maiden voyagers have the year to put pennies aside for this weekend getaway. Now that you newcomers are no longer "virgins", you too have the year to fill that coffee can
