Alright Gary, I started the thread. Now, we need a game plan. I know you will be hooking up with Carla & Lance and others near Columbia. What time are you starting out?

Then 1.5 hrs heading NW, another pick up point in Spartanburg. Maybe, April and myself, Oh and the new folks from Simpsonville, dedwards0323, can join in.

Go 30 minutes N to I26/Hwy74 to pick up Charlotte, NC folks.

Go 25 minutes to I40 (@ Ashville), to meet up with the NE folks driving in along I40.

Sound good so far? Come on, chime in, folks.

Thanks for starting the thread my good man

I guess it's all a timeline considering Denise & I like to get to Bryson City around 1ish. Reason is that I like to take pics as folks are arriving at the Ridge Top. That being said, we leave Aiken around 8:00-8:15.

I think Carla & family live about 2 hours from us, so that would mean they would have to head out 6ish. Bear in mind, that our 1ish arrival isn't set in stone, but I'd prefer not to get there mid/late afternoon.

Soooo, I threw that out there for any and all to chew on and see if it'd work into your schedules. We met April & Gary somewhere around Spartanburg around 10:15 and they we're good with that timeframe. I think they'd be cool with that as well for 2K11

If we go by Gary's timeline, we would meet up with close to noon at Ashville.

I40 & I26, if we take 26 up.
Haven't heard from any others from this area who want to head out that early.

Like I said, we arrive early. We won't be offended if others don't want to leave as early as we'd like. Our weekend begins when we arrive at the "Top" and are happy to take pictures of others as they arrive. Carla-Lance, you're 2 hours behind us. You'd have to leave home around 6:30 ish????

My thought is, the earlier we get there, the earlier the new beetle party begins

Bumping this thread

Kurt, as I suggested in Tamika's "midwest" bugavan thread, you might want to crosspost this to the "midatlantic region" too. Reason being there may be newbies in that region looking for events who may not be aware of the ToD
