Default To all Texans Bugavan 2K11

Time to get this thing wound up again. Any of you folks that were part of our wonderful bugavan way last May still around? If anyone sees any reason to change last years trip let us know. Otherwise, I'm assuming were going to do North Little Rock Wednesday night, Murfreesboro Thursday night and BC Friday noon to early afternoon.

I hope someone is still out there wanting to join us again next year. We made the drive alone in '09. This year the drive was much more interesting with the crowd. Don't you guys wimp out and make us run solo again.

We are ready to go again, it just depends if Connie can get off for TOD and Roswell both. She is going to check at work and see if it can happen. She set up the Roswell dates long ago, so that is locked in.

I will post back soon.

Thanks.

PLEASE NOTE THE EXIT CHANGE - - - (exit 7 is off I55 and not I40)

Here is Duffy. I would like to meet up with the bugavan in West Memphis, AR. McDonald's on Missouri St. is a good spot just off I-40 (coming from LR) is exit 276, Missouri St./Arkansas Hwy 77. This is an easy on and off I-40. Also there is a Shoney's on this exit road.

I hate to say it but I'm having a hard time recalling what time we went through Memphis last time. If I can drag a few of the folks that were with us last year into the discussion we should be able to work out the timing. I think we met the folks who stayed in North Little Rock mid-morning and should be reaching Memphis around lunch time. I do remember we made it to our overnight stop in Murfreesboro in time for dinner at the Cracker Barrel.

No rush on schedule. We have plenty of time to work out the details. I am very flexible, aka retired.

We didn't leave Little Rock until close to 10:30 or so. Add the amount of time it took to drive from Little Rock to Memphis and you will have our arrival.

My plans for TOD 2K11 have been scrapped. My first grandchild is due on May 4th. If he/she puts in an appearance in April, I might be able to make it. Otherwise, I will not be attending. At this point, I would say I will not be going. I will be attending Roswell though.

Sue, I was looking forward to seeing you again this May, but I'm sure I'll see you at Roswell. Being a Grandmother for the first time has to be exciting. Do what is best.

Tom - I was really looking forward to the trip. I had a lot of things planned. And seeing everyone - always the icing on the cake.

Baby will be a couple of months old by the time Roswell comes so I will have no problem making Roswell. I may need to leave early Sunday morning to get home but that's no biggie.

This is my daughter's first baby so being home in May is required and desired. If baby shows by or before May 9, then it will be my daughter's first mother's day. I won't miss that.

Everyone will have a great time I'm sure.

We finally made it into 2011 so May can't be far away. Time to get things rolling if you are joining the group coming from the west. I finished up my reservations today when I booked our room for Thursday night in Murfreesboro. All we have left to do is new tires, an O2 sensor and an oil change......and pack the bags. Sure hope to hear from more of you guys west of the Mississippi. We need to organize a road trip!

If you have AAA membership you can book a room through the AAA site and they do offer a AAA discount. I think the motel offers AARP discounts as well.

Glad to hear you are going to be there. This will make 2 of us. Let me know when you have your room reserved. Will start counting.
