***Thread update ***

Alright gang, sorry but I can’t wait anymore. I’ve just got to get the 2012 NE Bugavan thread started for ToD 2K12.

I’ve taken the itinerary from this year as a starting point for the group. It seemed to work out for the folks that were able to go this year and we can tweak it as needed.

I will also be contacting the people at the MicroTel in Winston-Salem to set-up another group rate for the Thursday Night lay-over.

This plan also gives people some options when we arrive on Friday. Once you get to Bryson City, you will have enough time to either shine up your pod, or take a scenic drive through the area, and still make it back in time for the Pizza Party.

Im down with meeting you guys & gals again in Winston.

The location you guys picked was good, right off the highway (sorry about the loop through the mall getting back onto 40!) and there's a Golden Corral on the other side of the mall from the hotel everyone was staying at...for a good breakfast!

Just for the record, the I40 you guys were off of this time was the "bypass", I40 splits and the "business" 40 goes through downtown Winston.

Hopefully well be able to pick up a few more peeps for the ride along!

count me in. last year's stop at Winston Salem worked out nicely. evening meetup & dinner at the Outback with Zuri, Jeremy, & Just Jim was a relaxing way to end day one. next morning linkup with John & Tanya, and Stephen and Shawntina worked out well. I'm certainly up for doing that again.

Hopefully we can get a few more from the Tidewater area to jump in the pool.

any updates for this thread? i have reserved my room at the Microtel Inn in Bryson City. anyone have a room there or will EVERYONE be at the official party location? I did Microtel cuz they gave a military discount cheaper than the other spots.

The micro tel is not far from the ridge top. The ridge top is smaller and won't hold everybody. Some stay at the slep inn some at the micro tel and some are camping in Newbugoplis at the ridgetop camp ground.

The bugavan threads should be becoming real active shortly as plans are finalized.

I'd keep bumping this thread, to keep it on the forefront of active threads. You should have a good bugavan from your area!

Also, if you haven't yet, please check in to the main TOD thread. There's info you need to be privy to AND we need info from you, so as to make nametags for you, yours AND your beetle.

Hey guys... I'm going to confirm with the hotel this weekend our rate, and post the updated information back on the original thread.

The folks who came down from the North East last year really liked breaking up the drive into two days.

Address is in the first post. Believe we are planning on rolling out around 10am. Hotel is just off of I40.

Awesome! It gonna be a great trip this year. Picking up warren at the next stop plus couple of peeps meeting us in Winston-Salem.

Should be a nice group rolling into Bryson City on Friday.
