FL Bugavan ToD 2k12

ToD 2k11 is over and as we always do, we plan ahead.

It's time to fire up the FL Bugavan for ToD 2k12

The past 2 years, the point of departure for FL has been Jacksonville. This year there might be some leaving from South Florida- any such bugavans, please post and organize accordingly.

Some from central FL came to Jax on Thursday night, so they would be fresh for the Friday departure. I believe the Waldorf Alstoria will be booked again next year with some repeat visitors. If anyone is interested, I can look into some Thursday night group hotel accommodations as we get into 2012.

As we did last year, we will be leaving Jacksonville @ 5:00 a.m., from the Gate Station on San Jose Blvd., near Old St. Augustine Rd.

Being that we have a lot more help with ToD, some of the last minute stuff has been eased off of me, hence us leaving promptly this time around.

The FL leg of the bugavan will travel W. on I-10, then north on I-75, where we will meet up with the GA bugavan in Atlanta, around 10:30. We will then have lunch near the Mall Of Georgia; Chipolte has been our traditional spot and i'm sure it will remain the same.

We might be early in the game, but it's never too early to plan and start promoting ToD. Tag some beetles if you can- i'll be cooking up some for anyone that needs them. Be on the lookout for any new orgers from FL and tell em about ToD. Let's have another great showing for ToD2k12!

We're excited beyond words; namely because...
-another beetle will be joining the carabugavan
-a B12 will be not only part of the carabugavan, but part of TOD. We've all been hoping that the B12's would be a part of all things ToD... our wish has been granted.

Oh yeah, be prepared... you and your beetle are gonna be the center of attraction- RockStar status!!!

I'll design some tags for ToD, so you all can tag other beetles to join us.

Hell I might even have to wash Der Stuka for this! May even have to fly Laycee's mom in for a bug detailing consult as that girl has the cleanest bug I have ever seen.

How many Florida bugs are we up to now AL? Have we officially reached "Swarm" status yet?

It's pretty cool.... we're gonna have 2 B-12's in our carabugavan- one from FL (Noelle) and one from GA (2012Turbo-B)

Now i'm going by rough guess, but I think the FL roster goes as follows:

Al/Val and Cup
Chuckie/Teresa and Der Stuka
Vern and GrayC
Kristen/Pierre and Purl
Jason/Justin and Eggy
Shonnel/Joey and Evilina
David/Luann and Cyber
Irina and Nemo
Noelle and the B12

I'm probably missing someone else, and I'm sure the list will grow before May. But yeah, I think we have a swarm Sir Chuckie!

Yes I have been Lurking. I cant help it, anything T.o.D. gets my attention. You guys gonna be rollin deep headin north.
But I cant help but notice that you have few people that are not on the attendee list yet. Maybe they are still on the fence and don't want things set in stone yet. Still haven't got any info on the B12's, and still no word from Jason and Eggy. Not tryin to stir up a hornets nest, but as people drop out I am hoping to replace them with new names instead of scratching them off the list.
I have also been pm'ing attendees from last year, that I have not heard from about attending this years event.
Really hopin to get 50 Beetles together this year.
Also really hopin to get Floyd back together in time. But thats a whole nother box of worms.

Not stirring up a hornets nest at all my friend. Rounding up the troops is what we do in TOD land.

I compiled the list going by commitments made on other threads. I've sent pm's and text messages, hoping they would officially commit by sending you a pm. I'll keep being a squeaky wheel... hopefully we can get their commitment nailed down and the roster solidified.

and I'm totally with you gene. I hope we have 50 + beatles in attendance. That would be great!

You're more than welcome to join us on the first Saturdays of the month for our B4B-Bugs for Breakfast meets.

Of course we have the Orlando group which we can bugavan down to visit. Matter of fact, I'm sure we'll have a Orlando GtG before ToD- Maybe we can do it in Daytona... we'll roll around the idea and see what happens.

A shake down criuse before running to Bryson sounds doable. After Chuckiefest before the TOD, yeah sounding better and better.
