Default Which Version of VAG-COM should i use?

Anyone have an idea of which version to use. I have seen their web site, but its all very confusing with the different interphases.

My car is a NB 2.0 2000 and i have the USB to OBDII cable
HELP!!!

By the way anyone know if checking the Tranny Temp is a free feature or do i need to purchase the full version?

Thank you

Yeah, the free version will give you trans temp, go into block 02, then select channel 04, that will display the temp. As for version, I'm guessing you have a 3rd party cable, and the majority of the newer ones work with the 409.1 version. Try this link http://www.ross-tech.net/vag-com/dow...ease4091us.exe for the USB 409.1 version. There is a test utility that you have to do the first time you run vag-com that will establish connectivity with your ECU. If this version doesn't work, try ver. 311.2.

The Ross-Tech USB version may not work as the actication code is part of their cable. I have the their latest Vag-com setup and it works like a charm.
