Default Finalizing questions before connecting gauges

I just need to verify before I buy

for a 2001 2.0 NB

I wanted to put in a water temp, oil pressure, and another one not yet decided

I just need to know the adapters I need for the sending of the information to the gauge, please help so i can make the purchase, do the install, and take pics for you guys asap!!

Also, if anyone could tell me how to hook it up, that'd be great. I just dont know how to hook them up, I have a pod installed, just the gauges are not connected, can you help me out with a like step by step hook up ordeal or what? It's okay if you dont have the time or what not, I just don't know where to connect the wires on the back of the gauge or where to connect them to send the signal to the gauges itself. If you could help, it owuld be oh so very greatfully appreciated thanks so much!

Installing/connecting gauges is not difficult but it can be time consuming, the hardest part about installing a gauge kit is:

1. Finding the most effective and sanitary place to install the sender.

2. Running and securely terminating wire connections.

Most people like to tap into factory wiring and/or components when installing accessories such as this because it saves install time, I however prefer to completely separate aftermarket accessory/electronics wiring (gauges, audio/video etc.) from the existing factory wiring and components, this virtually eliminates any interaction between the two thereby removing any chance of conflict or problems as a result, to me, this results in a cleaner more secure install and is well worth the extra time required.

A quality gauge kit (such as Autometer) will come with instructions on the units wiring layout and their tech. dept. is usually willing to assist.

If you post specific install questions along with related info from the instructions supplied with the kit, I'm pretty sure that you will receive help on this forum as well.

[QUOTE=Porkchop] For the coolant gauge you need AC Technics 1 3/16" radiator hose adaptor (cheapest price is on Ebay - about $22). [QUOTE]

I just bought this same thing direct from acautotechnic.com for only $20.

42draftdesigns.com is your best source for install info.
