Default Satellite Radio Antenna

I'm thinking of trying out satellite radio.
Hope someone can help here. I called the dealer and they said the antenna was built in for the satellite radio.I have the Package2, 2006.
I thought i had to have a seperate antenna.
Thanks for any info.

The antenna for the satellite radio is on the roof (coupe), and on the dashboard (convertible). It's the antenna base for the coupe.

For the vert is it built in the windshield?

You should have a little pimple looking thing about the size of half a baseball on top of your dash in the center near the windshield. That is where the antenna is for satellite. I don't know where your radio antenna is - maybe the windshield.

Thanks for reply.
I don't see anything like you described near the windshield or on the dash.
Must not have come with antenna.
The radio antenna is across the dash inside the windshield.

Hello, can anyone HELP! I have the 08 vert and my satellite hasn't worked very well since I have it. I know the little pimple thing is the antenna and the radio antenna is on the windshield. My sat keeps saying antenna. Does anyone know what the little square box is in trunk on the left upper side, its mounted. I wish i can find where to fix it. Thanks Danielle

Your '08 is under warranty--take it to the dealer.

You have to subscribe, you know.

Default 2003 Satellite Radio????

Hi there:

I just bought a 2003 VW Beetle and I wanted to add Sirius radio to it. Well I purchased a radio on Ebay and the company said the radio would have Sirius in it. Well it has the Sat button but it says "no Sat" when pushed and no SID number. Does anyone know what I need to do to get the Sirius in the 2003 Beetle. I would rather go through the radio and not do an aftermarket add on. Thanks.

I imagine they meant its Sirius ready, but you'll have to get a subscription to get it to work, and I imagine an antenna for it (not sure if a standard one will work...I don't know much about sat radio though). Is there any documentation with the radio to tell you more about it? Search online for the radio you got too.

It takes a sat head unit and a sat antenna. The base is big and round on a coup with sat radio and the verts has a little puck on the center dash panel. Plus a subscription
