There are two (2002) NB for sale in my area. Both are 1.8Ts but one is listed as a Sport model and the other which I saw is Grey with black leather GLX.( It has the Turbo badge on the back)
what are the diffences in these two. I assume they have the same Engine. Stinkbug |

thks, I got to see the Sport today. You are right , it has the same seats as in the Turbo S but solid black. What was interesting was it had the new emblems vs the 02 GLX which had the old one with key on the rear.

I will probably buy the Sport, because it is still under bumper to bumper for 3 mos and has less miles but the GLX looks better ie Sport all black and GLX grey. Not to mention 3,000 price difference.

All the GLX meant was that you got all the options included except for the larger 17" wheels. What you got depended on the MY. For instance, I have a 2001.5 GLX, which promised a Monsoon system, rain-sensing wipers and a self-dimming mirror. However, those parts were still unavailable for US-bound NBs so I didn't get them (and the price was dropped below what I had expected to pay because of it). Part of me wishes they told me this beforehand; then I'd've told them to just put the 17" wheels in to compensate.
The Sport was a special edition. Performance wise, nothing special except maybe the sport springs, which didn't really drop the height (much?) but were a bit stiffer. Beyond that, the differences are in style: Unique paint color, Recaro seats with color-matched stitching, steering wheel and shift knob with same color-matched stitching, different wheels and a Sport badge were pretty much the big difference between it and a 1.8T GLS. The rest, which were standard on a GLX, were optional on a Sport. Also, I don't think there was an automatic tranny Sport, but I'm not sure about that.
