Default red fog light install problems

ok i just installed it and followed the how to. and when i turn on the red fog both the fog and reverse lights are on at the same time. and i check the wire and its the black one with the blue stripe. i check the instructions over and over and i dont know wht i did wrong. so can someone tell me if i wired into the wrong wire and why both are on at once? plz hurry bc i want to finish this before night time tonight.

If I read your post right, you have wired to BOTH lights. You want to wire to JUST the left back up light. Find and follow just the left backup wire into the car and cut it before the splice to both. Splice on to the left wire only (black/blue) in a convenient location. Be sure to tape the other end to prevent a future short.

You will have to cut the wire going to the left light and splice the fog light switch wire to the wire going to the left light. Otherwise both will light up.
