Front Valance

I just bought a 2001 NB TDI and the lower valance is all busted up. The plastic part which hold the fog lights. I am ordering some other parts for the bug and will include this piece, but I would like to know how to take that off. Has anyone ever done that before? Any help and pictures would be great.

Is it a 2001 or a 2001.5? because that does make a difference for the valance.

for example do you have a swivel cup holder, then it should be a 2001.5.

I've done it also ... mine is an 01.5. It just clips in, I also drilled 4 holes at the top and put some stainless steel screws in, the one on my car when I bought it looked as though it was dragged down the highway for a bit.
