Default New "Baja" Beetle

I came across a posting on-line indicating that within this forum there was info on how to lift my new beetle 2-3". Could someone direct me to this information.

Thanks

Default Raising your New Beetle

I used a metalnerds.com kit. You will need to call them about it because it is hard to find. It works great. 2" lift with General AT2 215/65/16's will give you another inch and if you use VR6 springs in the front and Jetta wagon springs in the back you should gain another inch for a total of 4 inches. I haven't done the springs yet but, 3" is great for off roading. It is actually amazing! I surprise many people with where I take my beetle. The bigger tires changes the gearing a bit.

Hey Mike, you should check back in on TDIclub.com and the thread you started over there with the pic of your car. Lots of questions have been lobbed your way about your car.

http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread...ight=solarmike

I'm wanting to do the same thing to my car, I think yours looks great. How much has the gearing changed on your car? What kind of rpm are you running at 70mph? (manual? auto?) What kind of effects have the tires had on performance and MPG?

If you have anymore pics I'm sure many on here and TDIclub would love to see them.

Is that his exact username? I found that username but he was a "Newbie" and I couldnt find any posts by or about him or his car. I'd love to get some pics/details.

You know that whole website has changed so much since I've used it that I'm not sure what his user name is now. I'll shoot a PM off to BHRIFIC. He runs that site and knows everybody there, so he'll be able to tell us.
