Default upper rear seat removal?

does anyone know how to remove the upper half of the rear seat in an 01 tin top? I'm going to the drag strip today and that's one piece of hardware i can't for the life of me figure out how to remove.

There is a guide on each side between the seat and the inner wall in which the seatback rests, these guides rotate forward/backward, rotating each guide to the correct position will expose a slot that will allow the seatback mounting post to slide out thereby releasing the seatback for removal.

Here's my process.

-Fold seat down
-Unzip the zipper in the center of the seat (well a little off center) and un-do the bolts (should be two allen bolts...can't remember the size though)
-Then take a flat head screwdriver and pry the retaining clips on either side to release the retaining pin.

You should then be able to just lift out the seatback.
