Default Great way to mount GPS and protect the dash

Just ordered this from thebugdash.com

Numerous places to now mount my GPS without messing up the dashboard. I can suction cup it right on this Bugdash now or use the permanent disk mount for the GPS and not worry about it ruining the original dashboard. And keeps my GPS within reach and just about eye level.

Looks so much nicer than the carpet mats and more functional also. I have my Sirius radio antenna running underneath of it (you can see the antenna disk near the windshield) and hides the wire for a cleaner look.

Kind of functions as a windshield shade as well. Deflects some of sunlight off the dashboard.

I think I might paint mine to match the interior tan color instead of the exterior color.
Almost bought a custom carpet dash cover to protect my dashboard from this darn Florida sun but this was far more useful and looks much better.
I have been driving with it for the past few days and it doesn't budge or make rattling noises (I thought it would) it just kind of locks into place.

It looks nice. Do you get a glare from it reflecting in the windshield?

not really. I thought the same thing when I ordered a light color. But you don't really notice it. It has had no impact on me at all.

Looks great. By the way, where did you get the chrome rings around your air vents?

How wide is that raised slot above the speedometer? I'm wondering if my XM Audiovox XPress will fit there.

Thanks.

Default Dash Cover

Its 3.5-4 inches wide. It was designed so that a radar detector could fit in it. This would eliminate the need to suckon cup it to the windshield or have it slide around on the dash (i.e. causing scratches and damage.)
