I talked to the guy and he said it plugged into a separate plug by the ECU. He took it off when he traded the NB in b/c they would not give him any $ for it. He also has a Nuespeed exhaust & air box for sale. everyone on the chat forum said stay away from this deal.

I would stay away from it myself. For this simple reason:
It 'gains performance' by lying to the existing system. Why would you want to 'trick' your system by lying to it? Why not just program the system to work better? What happens if things DO go wrong and you over-boost? Your computer won't know you're overboosting; it'll just believe whatever you're telling it. Buncha lies & deceit & trickery. Useless. The car's already got a very sophisticated, and very complicated system of sensors and readings and calculations. Just alter the requested/expected values and you'll keep all the benefits of the system in the first place. |
