Question driving lights along with fog lights?

Has anyone tried installing driving lights instead of, or along with, their fog lights? I tried a search for driving lights in several forum areas, but couldn't find any threads.

This is a photoshop picture of an idea I have about adding driving lights to my car.

What do you think?

Driving lights shoot a narrow beam straight out in front of the car while fog lights fan out to the sides a little. You can see farther without using high beams.

i have taken the factory lights off of my Turbo S and put a set of driving and fog lights in their place. is that what youre looking to do kinda?? i can walk you through the wiring and all if you want to keep your factory fogs. but know this: you will havt to drill holes to mount the extra lights!

Interesting look - but - with driving lights mounted that low you lose a great deal of range - unless the road is smooth and flat.

I haven't seen a picture of anyone who has mounted lights on the top of the bumper area yet, so I don't know if it would look good or not. The front grill seemed a good place to experiment at while doing the least damage to the car.

the grill on my "S" got destroyed when i hit a racoon so it wasnt much of a concern for me. i can try to get a decent pic of how i did it if you like. only took like 45 min wiring and everything, fogs work off the switch and the driving work off the headlight switch, the headlights come on and the driving lights turn on.

never been flashed for "blinding" pple, have them adjusted to light up about 50ft down the road and the extra light they throw to the sides makes seeing critters alot eaiser at night. i have 2 small "pencil beam" lights that i have yet to add but they should increase my hi-beam range to about 1,500 FT at least.

Just a front view, side view, and angle view will do.
