VW needs to get off there high priced horse and stop charging an arm and testicle for parts we can't buy elsewear.I just paid 23 bucks for a marker light socket!!!! I still feel violated.....and so should everyone who has no other choice. We should all write VW and make a formal complaint as i already have......POWER TO THE PEOPLE....!!!

Just a quick followup - it actually turned out to be the lens & reflector as a unit, saving any concern about the lens possibly not gluing or sealing on properly. My mechanic popped out the old reflector, popped in this new unit in only a few minutes, and didn't charge me for the brief labor.

Baby's all in one piece again, and she looks bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

Did you ever find just the seal for the head lights? Check with my dealer this morning and they told me I had to buy the whole headlight assembly.

From having my lights out this week the rubber seal edge doesn't easily come on and off like the tail lights. It appears to be all in there with the glue holding the lense to the trim housing. I assume it is like this due to standing up to wind speeds (for it all to be pre-assembled).

Few parts of cars are very rarely found and if found there is no guarantee that it will be places well and in return it will function properly.
