Default Help installing AUX jack

So my 2007 NB has a space for the aux jack, but for some reason there's nothing there (wish i had noticed before i bought it - probably could have made the dealer install it free). I'd like to put one in, but how tricky is it? Is it just a 1/8" plug in the back of the stereo? Where can I get the actual jack to mount on there?

Thanks in advance!

So... why do you think the dealer won't install it for free? Take it back and say, "where's my jack, Jack?"

You are under bumper-to-bumper warranty for 4 years, y'know, unless you put a boatload of miles on it...

Well, I've been a bit lazy - I actually bought the car about 8 months ago. I figure it's a little late to go and complain about that.

And the warranty only covers something malfunctioning, I believe. Not something that isn't there.

That's really weird that your car doesn't have an aux jack. They were standard on all NBs starting in 04 or 05. Can one be installed aftermarket? You could ask the dealer, the worst they can say is no.

I bought it used, and I guess for some reason the previous owner took it out. I ordered a set of radio removal tools for a couple bucks off of ebay and I wouldn't be half surprised when I taken it out to find that it's just dangling back there or something.

I don't want to ask the dealer, because I'm almost 100% certain that it wouldn't be covered (and the dealer i bought it from is kind of a jerk). But it doesn't seem like it would be too hard of a thing to do myself.
