It's plug & play, well it least it was on my '00. The only "problem" is the cost.

Well, if the 2006 is like my 2009 NBC, three wires are missing in the 'light circuit' mirror connector T8q pins 4, 5 & 6 - reverse signal, switched 12 volts, and lights on. However, I have found a work around yet to be implemented because I haven't found a tan auto dim mirror. Anyone?

The reverse signal lead just can be grounded without issues, mirror just won't un-dim in reverse. The 12V (ign. on) can be jumpered to connector T10 pin 8 wire or the ckt board. For "lights on" 12V, I plan to use a Radio Shack reed switch connected to the dimmer ckt. T10 pin 7 and ground. Connect the contact to T10 pin 8 and T8 pin 6. Just don't totally dim the dash lights. Of course, one could run these wires from the dash up to the mirror. This seems difficult to me.

Bought a mirror off eBay but sent it back. It had broken plastic, badly faded and looked like it had be worked on with missing screws.

Keep us posted on your progress.
