This is only true if you don't own an APH *1999-2001.5 1.8T*. People kept telling me I was wrong but after looking through EKTA there is no steel bottom pan that will work with our uniqueness. sigh.

i've had a steel bottom pan for about 5 years now on my 99 aph, bought direct from ecstuning when they first came out.

for whoever doesn't believe me i can take a picture haha

it fits but u also have to change one oil line, its been a while since i did it so i really dont remember exatly what i did
