Default Raceland coilovers?

Do these work on NBs?
VWvortex Forums: - Raceland Coilover Review -

VWvortex Forums: How are Raceland Coilovers?

Welcome to RACELANDUS.COM

Awesome price, and sounds like they're good quality, I'm sure i'll be satisfied going from a stock suspension :P
Has anyone had these? Do they work with NBs does anyone know?
If not can anybody point me in the right direction of cheap but decent quality coilovers?

Thanks

Default Update

Got a response (a very fast one at that) from the guys at raceland saying that these coilovers will indeed fit my car.

I'm ready to start saving now, but i'm a little puzzled.
Idk what I should expect to be included in a coilover kit, but looking at the kit contents list, i'm seeing a lot of "X2" is this only 2 coilover things? I'm confused and don't know shiznit about suspension!!! Help!

I HAVE THESE

just order one kit for the mk4 golf. it should run you around 400 - 450 i dont remember right now.
but i love mine. once you get it its basically plug and play, let the coils sit for a day or two and the crank em down

nigel, raceland is a good BUDGET setup, but the dampers (shocks/struts) are the inherent issue. i reccommend spending the extra $100 on fk or vmaxx.

i install coilovers all day, takes about 2-3 hours give or take.

we could do it on a lazy saturday am with some good breakfast, some caffeine, and awesome tunes.

You can only fit coilovers up front.
The front will have the spring assembled to the damper.
In the rear you will be next to eachother, but not attached.

if you don't road race/autocross/drift/ride with your mom around all this time.... then the racelands will be fine. I have havent had any of the others but my friends do. but they track their car. Racelands are not the greatest coilovers in the world but sure arent the worst. the quality for that low of a price cant be beat.

Been riding on racelands for 1yr+ and i beat mine pretty hard and good and they take it like a good girl.

I don't have coilovers, i have koni str.t and eibach springs....i love it. Mine is a TDI so the drop was a lot more than expected. I don't need to be TOO low, I wanna keep my oil pan intact as long as possible!

Not sure if its the same issue for gassers, but consider a panzer or defender steel skid plate if you lower the car, one twig or rock and your engine is toast!

Cheap coils can ruin how a car handles and drives. Seen it way too many times and driven several people's VMaxx / Raceland-equipped Dubs.

why does possibly the most important addition to a modded car have to be so friggen expensive!!!!
i'm sure you guys that are suggesting higher quality products are right though. I'm likely to just not get anything, then go with a poor quality product. That's why i wanted to ask here though, the vortex just left me more unsure about these than when i started :P
Is getting used coilovers a good cheaper option also?
With 100k and no plans for an engine rebuild part of why i'm tentative to spending so much is because idk how much longer this car will be around, not to mention how much more I'll personally be driving it regularly considering i'm going off to school soon.

used coils aren't always a bad option, ones with warranties left are even better.

personally, a good used set of coils is gonna run as much as a cheap new set, and i'd rather have used h&r's over raceland anyday.

h&r gets lower in the back on perches anyway.

I was going to snag a set of FK Streetlines and I got talked out of it.

After all the looking around at coilovers and reading tons of info that doesn't even pertain to what I want, I've about given up on the whole mess.

I just want to get about an inch lower and not have a track ride. Everything I've read is either info on dropping the car to the absolute bottom or setting up for racing, neither of which I am going to do.

I'm considering now just getting a nice set of wheels and a higher profile tire to help fill out the wheel gap. The speedometer is off by 5% on stock setup anyway.

Convertibles look like a friggin 4x4.
