Talking Tell me about your coilovers

Titan's struts are making noises and the ride has been bouncy for awhile, so i'm going to be getting new coilovers soon.

I will have money set aside for them soon, but i'm not sure which to get for $500 and under.

Think you can help me pick? Tell me about yours too

i tell you about mine everytime we talk on the phone, boy. I love my racelands. and they were only about $450? i dont even remember. but it was an easy install for Ray and our friend Erik. they were done after about 4-5 hours? idk it was too long ago and we were fooling around taking breaks inbetween the suspension and painting calipers...

they go low though. some people suggest taking the rear perches and front helper springs out for more low... but i have both. still contemplating the perch thing.

meh, coils are overrated. I love my Koni STR.T. Worth every penny. And the Eibach Pro Kit Springs helped too! I love my low. It may not be "low-low" but that's ok.

I think i'm going to get these.

For what its worth, JOM Bluelines are rebranded Vmaxx and they have received great reviews, even on the super judgemental VwVortex.

i have vmaxx(stratosphere) work great, ride real nice, can't expect not to take hard blows if you drop that low. if you don't want to remove your sway bar and notch your frame, just buy springs and shocks.

springs can get you 2.5" easily, and anything lower than that you would have to do these things. so its pointless to get coilovers unless you really want to go that low.

i don't know what they compare to in ride quality compared to springs and coils, i've always had either one or the other. and when you have coilovers, y not all the way?

i'm still trying to figure out how i can get my rear lower. i have rear perches completely out and bump stops shortened. i still have about and inch lower i can get. i just want my fender sitting on wheel lip like my front or even lower. i'm possibly going to cut out the rear spring lower plate, and weld a new one lower.

I actually have no problem with notching my frame actually. I've been reading up on it, but i'm not seeing how much to do and such yet, but i do see exactly where the frame hits the axle. The swaybar, not so much because the frame is MUCH closer than the swaybar.
